SAS University Edition

Follow these steps to download SAS University Edition:

  1. Visit https://www.sas.com/en_us/software/university-edition/download-software.html in your favorite internet browser
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Get Download" link for SAS University Edition for VirtualBox
  3. You will need to create an account with SAS in order to download the University Edition, Click the "Create" link under New User
  4. Fill in the Required Information to create your account (you will need to use your @studentbody.byu.edu email address), then click the "Create Profile" link

5. SAS will send you a verification email, login to your email account and click on the verification link from SASProfileHelp
6. After you've verified your profile, click the "Continue" on the verification webpage and you will be able to create a password for your SAS account
7. The next page will tell you the Terms & Conditions for using SAS software, read the text on the page and if you agree click the "Agree" link
8. If you agree to the SAS Terms & Conditions you will be taken to the download page, click the "Download" link under SAS University Edition

The file is very large (1.8Gb), be patient as the download could take some time to finish

10. You'll need to download the latest version of Oracle VirtualBox from their website https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
11. Now that you have the SAS University Edition file and VirtualBox, follow the instructions to install it to your computer
