Full Circle: BYU Statistics Alumna Gives Back to Honor Her Roots
Rebecca Nichols – a BYU Statistics alumna and former visiting professor – jointly with her husband, Luke, made a generous donation to the BYU Department of Statistics, establishing the “Joseph L. and Shelley M. Reimann Endowed Fund,” named in honor of Rebecca’s parents. Her motivation for giving was inspired by her gratitude for the education she received, the experiences that shaped her professional and personal life, and the scholarships that allowed her to graduate from both the BS and MS programs debt-free.

Dr. Jamie Perrett bestowed Fellow of the American Statistical Association Award
The Fellow of the American Statistical Association is a distinction that is awarded to only 0.3% of the ASA membership each year and is given to those who "have an established reputation and have made outstanding contributions to statistical science." Dr. Perrett is only the 8th Fellow from the State of Utah.
