BYU Actuarial Science

An actuary is a professional who uses statistics and finance to understand and manage uncertainty and risk.

The BYU Actuarial Program is well-recognized. We earned the highest recognition from both of the US-based actuarial organizations, CAE-UEC from the SOA and Gold Level from the CAS. We are one of only 5 programs globally with both awards.

Our students are in demand, with essentially all of our graduates starting great positions immediately after graduation.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Brian Hartman, Actuarial Program Coordinator, hartman@stat.byu.edu.
